One of the definite sacrifices of a mission is being gone when a new baby is born. But baby and mother are doing fine and four little siblings were eager to welcome her into the family, while grandma is definitely missing being there to hold her! This is number 17 grandchild for us: 9 granddaughters and 8 grandsons. The joy of our lives!
Born 20 minutes after arriving at the hospital before the doctor could arrive, Lucy weighed in at 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long.
