The Great Hall is where the King held feasts - and they were often big gatherings: other kings and their entourage, Parliament, etc.
I should have put Sis. I in here for perspective: HUGE kitchen fire and oven used to prepare food for the Great Hall.

Just a pretty view of the "loch" around the Castle. Loch Linlithgow is more beautiful than a postcard!
