The Church in Inverness

(Ned here) I'm not sure this is the prettiest spot in the world for an LDS church, but I would nominate it for the award. Inverness is a port city in the Scottish Highlands about 3 1/2 hours north of Edinburgh by car. The River Ness flows through it and into the Moray Firth (bay).

This is the Inverness Ward building. It is set on a road that parallels the River Ness. Several Protestant churches have also picked the river as there building site.

This is just across the street from the chapel looking upstream on the Ness. The river flows out of Loch Ness, but likely is too small to accommodate the famous Monster. The River Ness is indescribably clear and beautiful here.

Looking downstream from the Church, the view captures a bit of the city of Inverness.
